Medicinal Chemistry is an interdisciplinary research area incorporating synthetic organic chemistry, computer-based molecular modeling, biotechnology, bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics, molecular pharmacology and molecular biology in the search for better drugs.

The Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department of the Ankara University-Faculty of Pharmacy has a commitment to providing its students with the training needed to fully utilize the advances in the above-mentioned interdisciplinary areas for both Scientific World and Drug Industry.
